The AMLC Prac (SA) designation is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). The AMLC Prac (SA) focuses on the fundamental aspects of compliance and is awarded to candidates who meet the relevant knowledge and work experience requirements. The foundational knowledge of the designation is found in the AMLC Prac (SA) training programme of 7 courses, the 2024 Generally Accepted Compliance Practice (GACP) framework, Code of Ethical and Professional conduct​ and prevailing legislation.

If you meet the eligibility requirements of AML compliance work experience and code of ethical and professional conduct, start journey to AMLC Prac (SA):

1. Complete the CV mapping document (see "documents" section below).

2. Have it signed off by "Verifiers" who are your current line manager(s) for at least 3 years and / or a Compliance Officer that works with you.

3. Then UPLOAD these documents with your application:

• CV mapping document
• Your detailed CV
• Certificate of your highest, completed qualification.

4. Receive and pay the invoice. This application fee is non-refundable.

5. The CISA assessor evaluates your application to determine if you can write the board exam or if you are eligible to go through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process now renamed "exemption from exam". (A limited number of candidates would be eligible for exemption from exam previously known as RPL.)

6. The Professionalism team will send you the outcome and a link to register for the next exam or exemption from exam.

• All applications received by 15 August 2024 will be in time to register for the 23 October 2024 exam.
• All applications received between 16 August 2024 and 20 March 2025 will be in time to register for the exam on 18 June 2025.
