    Willem holds an AMLC Prac (SA) with over 30 years of experience in finance and banking.
    During his time in banking he obtained a wide range of experience across the various risk channels of the banks I worked for. This included contact with the regulators (SARB, FSCA and JSE) and the international correspondent banks servicing the banks he worked for. This has provided him with a wide insight into the mechanics of the banking sector including the products, client types, other non-banking financial institutions, etc. During this time, he was part of the creation of the policies, standards and procedures that makes up today’s RMCP’s. Part of this work was the design and implementation of systems and models to support the mitigation of the various risk associate with money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing and sanctions.
