At the Compliance Institute Southern Africa (CISA), we have also carefully mapped our 2023 year. The significance of committing to a plan is one of the key elements that we as an organisation have reflected on. It is one thing having a strategy and goal, but if you cannot commit to it as an organisation or professionally, then the consequences of not achieving the objectives could lead to various organisational failures, or equally, professional or personal failures.
As compliance professionals, we have a responsibility to ensure that our organisations are operating within the law and ethical standards. This year, we are giving the compliance community an opportunity to submit their PLEDGE to uphold the highest level of compliance within our profession and respective organisations. Taking THE PLEDGE is a simple but powerful way to demonstrate our commitment to compliance.
At this year's CISA Conference, being hosted on 23 – 24 August 2023 at the Vodacom Dome in Midrand, we will be focusing on our 2023 theme of THE PLEDGE.
Leading up to the conference, we are going to ask you to place your pledges in the CISA Time Capsule, which will be opened at the Conference. During the months leading up to the conference, we will be calling for your pledges and drawing names from the CISA Time Capsule every week until the event, where you stand a chance to win a prize! The prizes range from Takealot and Uber Eats vouchers, training and even a free ticket for the conference!
These pledges will serve as a reminder to our future selves of the commitment we have made, and they will inspire us to continue to strive for excellence in compliance.
We encourage all compliance professionals to take THE PLEDGE and join us in committing to compliance at the highest level.
